‘Canvas’ is the latest creation from Tokyo-based design studio YOY, and is one of those wonderfully nutty ideas that can only come from Japan.
Get this: A canvas “painting” of a chair that you can sit on. This must surely be one of the best ways to impress your hipster friends and make new ones.
No price is listed but nothing stops those motivated enough from making their own and carrying it everywhere. All they’d need is a wall to lean it against. The frame is made of wood and aluminium and the canvas area is actually made out of an elastic fabric with a canvas-like texture.
Three models are available.
I love this chair/picture . Any idea if these are available in the U.S. ?
Not sure if it’s comfortable, but definitely a conversation piece.
I need fifty for my new restaurant
What restaurant is that? I’d eat there. Have you considered throwing in a few Three-Legged chairs for good measure? http://www.americanluxurymag.com/2013/05/28/boca-do-lobos-three-legged-chair/
