The estate is named Farralone and is on sale for the first time. The building was designed by the renowned Pereira & Luckman architects and finished in 1951. The listing, set at $12 million, is represented by Coldwell Banker Previews International.

Dora Hutchinson, the heiress of the Chase Manhattan Bank fortune, had the rights to commission the mansion. After the completion of the property, she started having Hollywood parties, hosting for the A-list such as Lucille Ball and Ava Gardner. Afterwards Dora moved to New York, renting the property to Frank Sinatra for almost a decade.

Marilyn Monroe took over the guesthouse during this period. In here she had her last photo-shoot and her encounter with Jack Kennedy.

The main estate covers an area of approximately 10,000 sq ft, inside 2 acres of rolling lawn. It includes four bedrooms, 5 full baths and a half-bath, a grand gallery and three private offices over the lower levels, along with a conference room. The guest house is 1,000 sq ft large and features one bedroom, one full bath, one half-bath and a private 50 ft. pool. There’s also a fully-equipped gym beside it. There’s also a 9,5-acre detachment divided into 13 lots, overlooking a beautiful vineyard with horse-riding trails. The parking place on the property can accommodate up to 200 cars.
