The field of drone technology is booming. 3D Robotics is contributing to the movement with the introduction of their 3DR Solo Drone. The device is GoPro-powered and features two integrated Linux computers. The quadcopter and built-in GoPro are controlled directly from settings on the controller and streams live HD video to smartphones and tablets within a half-mile range.
The smart drone comes equipped with a follow mode, so users never have to worry about missing a single shot. With auto takeoff and landing, built-in GPS, and up to 25 minutes of flight time, controllers can capture an array of different images and videos.
The versatile controller is the only of its kind to feature a 1 GHz computer, which allows for a GPS map view, live speed reading, and personalized control features for an easy, optimized flying experience. Built like a video game control, the light control stick, one-touch automated flight buttons, and return home button provide easy access to the drone while in flight.
The 3DR Solo Drone is available for around $1,500.
