Michael Wong is an American Actor and celebrity born in New York and now based in Hong Kong. Also trained as a professional pilot, he has created his own celebrity brand, MW Michael Wong, that crosses-over with other global brands including Rimowa (Germany), Château Baccarat (France), and Giorgio Fedon (Italy) with much success. The brand officially launched its first flagship at Causeway Bay Hong Kong in January 2015.
Designed by the renowned and award-winning firm Alexander Wong Architects (no relation) which specializes in luxury branding, architectural innovation, and bespoke interiors including futuristic cinemas with themes like Avatar City (2014) and Carmen Futura (2015), this brand new flagship introduces many innovative features. Partly inspired by the aviation design culture, these special features include the bespoke MW Signature Display System with the M Wire Hanger for clothes, W Swing Display for clothes and the BMW Motorcycle, sheared Cargo Island product display units in golden brushed steel, MW Marble Counter, Timothy Oulton’s Aviator Tomcat Chairs, and much more.
Alexander Wong has also created a Da Vinci Globe placed right behind the MW Marble Counter. This feature is partly inspired by Leonardo Da Vinci’s famous Polyhedron which has now been transformed into a giant abstract globe with pun intended on Shakespeare’s original Globe Theatre.
